It’s a 1960s built home, and the Client worked with our Landscape Architect to design a backyard that met their modern style. We used sandblasted marble for the patio and pool surround, which is perfectly cool on a hot summer day in Bryn Mawr, PA. This patio is dry-laid with a hidden drainage system underneath. The benefit of the dry-laid method is if there is ever a need to correct something underneath, you can pick up the pieces and set them back in. And – no mortar, no maintenance.
